Portsmouth is a dynamic port city on the south coast, which attracts students through the pleasant atmosphere and comfortable infrastructure. In addition, the city where Charles Dickens and Arthur Conan Doyle lived has many opportunities for history, literature and the arts. The university buildings are right in the heart of the city, about 4 km from the coast. Nearby are the harbor and the impressive shopping and leisure complex of the city, Gunwharf Quays. The University of Portsmouth was founded in 1992, after the merger of the largest and most prestigious polytechnic school in the United Kingdom with the School of Science and Arts, founded in 1869.

Today, the university has a very strong business faculty. Candidates with very good backgrounds who want to study architecture but have not drawn up a portfolio can rely on Portsmouth. Romanian students also choose it because of their specialization in the fields of art and design. The University grants scholarships worth 2,000 pounds for students whose parents have low incomes. If they meet certain conditions, the masters can benefit from a reduction of up to 40% of the tuition fee. Scholarships for MBA programs reach up to 25%.
